Earliest Memory: Waking up in the back seat of the family Jeep. I remember looking out the window at
Mount Fuji. I think I went back to sleep. I must have been about 3, maybe 5?

Childhood Memories (1954 to 1961): Playing on the hill behind our house in Japan. Running through the
old Japanese Zero tunnels that overlooked the US Naval Base not far from our home. Watching the Lone Ranger in
black and white. I remember that we had 3 hours of T.V. per day if we were lucky enough to pick up the broadcasts from the
Military base.
