Above
The Atlantic
White shadowed clouds reaching upward out of the ocean of deep blue sky, like icebergs breaking the
glass cold surface of the sea;
Icebergs pointing upward from the depth of the murky water
world like mountains lifting cragy peaks above
the monotonous plain;
Mountains thrusting
skyward as if belched from the bowels of the world by a force beyond imagination, like my spirit reaching upward from the foundations of my
being, seeking that which is within - but
always beyond; contained - but often bursting
forth.
